About Us Sustainability

Our passion for instilling a modern twist on southern hospitality at the JB Duke Hotel does not stop with creating memorable experiences for all our guests. We are equally committed to upholding the Duke family’s spirit of philanthropy through ongoing community partnerships. We will continue the legacy that our father property, Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club started nearly 30 years ago through an array of programs ranging from fundraisers to generous in-house contributions and on-property charity events.

We have programs in place to give back to the community by donating items no longer in use at the hotel. In this way we can help the local community while also keeping items out of Durham’s landfills.
