"Be Our Guest" Bartender Series

Wednesdays at 5 p.m., June 3 to 24

The "Be Our Guest" Bartender Series returns to the Lobby Lounge this June with four Wednesday evenings dedicated to celebrating the Triangle’s dynamic cocktail community. Throughout the month, talented mixologists from around the area will step behind the bar to craft signature cocktails, showcase their creativity and support meaningful local causes.

Each featured bartender’s specialty cocktails will remain on the menu through the following week, with 10% of proceeds benefiting their selected nonprofit organization. Join us for inventive drinks, lively conversation and a spirited midweek tradition at the AAA Four Diamond JB Duke Hotel.

Each Tuesday, a featured artist takes over the hotel's sleek Lobby Lounge, transforming it into a living, breathing art studio where new masterpieces come to life before your eyes.

Just across the street, stargazing guests will take in the majestic views of the night sky on the patio located just off the Fairview Dining Room. CHAOS, the Chapel Hill Astronomical and Observational Society, will share their wide expertise on the astronomical findings as they guide guests through the session. The session begins at sunset every Saturday March through November, and all ages are encouraged to participate.

Saturdays at 9 a.m., May through September

Enjoy a complimentary yoga session Saturday mornings May through September on the Sun Deck, the patio located adjacent to the pool across the street at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. Yoga attendees will take in the fresh, morning air while overlooking the Duke University Golf Course and Duke Forest. Led by Claudin Mangum, the class begins with a gentle flow, following an hour-long series of strength, flexibility and breathing exercises. Claudin is a certified yoga instructor and co-owner of Trilogy Yoga, who creates the flow of the class according to the attendees’ abilities. The Inn will have a supply of yoga mats for use on site. Yoga class begins at 9AM. Ages 16+ and all skill levels are invited to attend yoga. In the event of inclement weather, the outdoor yoga class will be relocated indoors.
