Sea Glass Succulent Workshop

Wednesday, March 4 | 6–8 p.m.

Unwind with a cozy, creative evening in the AAA Four Diamond JB Duke Hotel Lobby Lounge. This beginner-friendly workshop invites you to design three illuminated sea glass succulent arrangements using beach-inspired materials, warm LED lighting and guided, step-by-step instruction. Each guest receives all supplies, including terracotta pots and a wooden tray for a polished final display.

Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, capture photos by the firelit Lounge and enhance the evening with craft cocktails and elevated bites available for purchase from the Lobby Lounge menu.

Tickets are $65 per person. No experience required—just come ready to relax, create and enjoy.

Join us for the return of Artful Evenings, an artist-in-residence series showcasing standout creative talent from across the Triangle. Each Tuesday, a featured artist takes over the hotel's sleek Lobby Lounge, transforming it into a living, breathing art studio where new masterpieces come to life before your eyes.

Saturday Stargazing

Just across the street, stargazing guests will take in the majestic views of the night sky on the patio located just off the Fairview Dining Room. CHAOS, the Chapel Hill Astronomical and Observational Society, will share their wide expertise on the astronomical findings as they guide guests through the session. The session begins at sunset every Saturday March through November, and all ages are encouraged to participate.

Saturdays at 9 a.m., May through September

Enjoy a complimentary yoga session Saturday mornings May through September on the Sun Deck, the patio located adjacent to the pool across the street at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. Yoga attendees will take in the fresh, morning air while overlooking the Duke University Golf Course and Duke Forest. Led by Claudin Mangum, the class begins with a gentle flow, following an hour-long series of strength, flexibility and breathing exercises. Claudin is a certified yoga instructor and co-owner of Trilogy Yoga, who creates the flow of the class according to the attendees’ abilities. The Inn will have a supply of yoga mats for use on site. Yoga class begins at 9AM. Ages 16+ and all skill levels are invited to attend yoga. In the event of inclement weather, the outdoor yoga class will be relocated indoors.
